In the "Documents" section, some information has been added.

As far as the Links are concerned, most of them have been checked, categories have been rearranged, and a new one created, which is related to specific activities and/or research project results of HUA Geography Department academics. I encourage each of you who knows a web site / platform with specific content related to research results or activity to contact me so that I could add the correspondent links.

The links under the title "Journals..." have been rearranged rationally mainly on the basis of the title's main i.e. most characteristic word (key-word), so that all the journals' similar titles are put close together.

ANNOUNCEMENT

In the face of the rapid spread of Covid-19 outbreaks worldwide and the measures our country is taking against it, any new Eramus+ mobility will be suspended for the foreseeable future.

The suspension concerns both outgoing and incoming students & staff and is valid until otherwise stated.

Beneficiaries who are already abroad, are responsible to decide about the continuation of their stay based on the instructions of their country of destination.

Demands for mobilities to be suspended or canceled will be treated favorably since the "force majeure" clause applies to current conditions.

Due to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, the Greek Authorities (Official Government Gazette [= FEK] n°783/B 2020-03-10) decided the suspension of all Universities' educational operation from 11/3/2020 until 24/3/2020 (March 25th is a National Holiday). What does mean "Educational operation" is defined in official texts and specifically applied by every educational unit. Contact the Harokopio University's Erasmus Office &/or Erasmus-ECTS Departmental Co-ordinator.

Since 2019, the renowned Bulletin de correspondance hellénique issued by the French School of Athens, has an offspring covering specifically "the results of research devoted to the Eastern Mediterranean and Balkan space, a cross-cultural area marked by the influence of Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman but also colonial empires", the Bulletin de correspondance hellénique moderne et contemporain . Transdiciplinary, the journal is published twice a year only in electronic version on the platform journals.openedition.org . The discussion will be moderated by journalist Damian Mac Con Uladh and Caroline Macfarland (founder of "Common Vision"). Rearrangement of the links / Creation of new Category

Due to the addition of links concerning recently completed projects & lastly opened and operating websites & Mobile Applications related to historical topography, historical geography as well as traveller's testimonies in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean Space, links have been rearranged. A new section "Tools for Historical Geography of Athens and Greece / Eastern Mediterranean Space" has been created, where some links from General category have been moved in.

The new links are related to "The Athens Western Hills Project" and to the "Walk the Walls Athens" App, DIPYLON (https://dipylon.org/), "a non profit organisation (NPO) for the study of the ancient topography and the cultural environment through interdisciplinary research on Archaeology, History, Informatics and Cartography."

Furthermore, the Aikaterini Laskaridi Foundation & Gennadius Library released in March a new website Traveltrails.gr "Missions and Explorations in the Eastern Mediterranean, 1500 -1830", and the Municipality of Kallithea launched a free App "Routes of History and Culture".
