Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This elective course provides MSc students with a rigorous, hands-on introduction to applied Generative AI and agentic systems. Students will move from understanding how Large Language Models (LLMs) work to building, evaluating, and deploying intelligent agents that can reason, retrieve information, use external tools, and orchestrate complex workflows.

The course bridges theory and practice in equal measure. Each session combines conceptual foundations with supervised hands-on work, and students develop a group project — a RAG-based agent system — that evolves progressively across the second half of the course. Assessment is through a final project presentation in a dedicated session.

The course is tool-agnostic in its principles but uses Python throughout.
