"PortEconomics is a web-based initiative aiming at generating knowledge about seaports. It is developed and empowered by the members of the PortEconomics group, that are actively involved in academic and contract research in port economics, management, and policy. The teaching activities of the participating scholars include specialized courses on port economics management, planning and policy. These courses are offered to students and other audiences in Europe or else, via lectures and assignments based on the output of individual or collective research activities and the most recent developments in port studies."

"A port, its neighboring city, and region form a type of territory at select intersections of water and land, across which people, goods, and ideas all flow. Although a port and its infrastructure form a globally connected industrial complex, that complex must share limited space with its city and region. Port functions exist cheek by jowl with lived-in urban spaces, and other built-up and natural areas.

PortCityFutures explores these particularities and proposes spatial planning and design measures for the use of this limited space so that the port and city (and region) can jointly evolve.

PortCityFutures employs interdisciplinary methods and long-term perspectives to connect political, economic, social, and cultural dimensions of spatial use."

"Η Ε.ΛΙΜ.Ε. είναι εταιρεία αστική, μη κερδοσκοπική. Στόχος της Ε.ΛΙΜ.Ε. είναι ο συντονισμός των δραστηριοτήτων των μελών της με σκοπό την ανάπτυξη λιμενικής πολιτικής, τη συμμέτοχη των λιμένων στην περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη και τη δημιουργία εύρωστων και ανταγωνιστικών επιχειρήσεων παροχής λιμενικών υπηρεσιών.

Μέλη της είναι 13 Ελληνικοί Οργανισμοί Λιμένων Ελλάδας που λειτουργούν με τη μορφή Ανώνυμης Εταιρείας (Α.Ε) και 25 Λιμενικά Ταμεία (Νομικά Πρόσωπα Δημοσίου Δικαίου). Αντικείμενό της είναι η αντιμετώπιση και προώθηση όλων των θεμάτων που αφορούν τους λιμένες μέσα στο πλαίσιο της Ελληνικής, Ευρωπαϊκής και Διεθνούς νομοθεσίας. Σκοπός της είναι η δημιουργία θέσεων για την ανάπτυξη όλων των Οργανισμών Λιμένων Ελλάδας, της λιμενικής βιομηχανίας και των μεταφορών."
